Anthony “Tony” Grippa is a Senior Advisor at Dowling & Hales. Previously, he was the Regional President for Brown & Brown, Inc in 2015 and 2016. His responsibilities included direct oversight of 19 retail insurance offices around the United States. Revenue for these offices were in excess of 150 million. During this time Tony was also the National Benefits Leader for Brown & Brown, Inc. In addition, Tony was responsible for Wright Public Risk and Wright Specialty. Wright Public Risk is a public entity management company with offices in New York State. Wright Specialty is a 100 million dollar premium national public entity program excluding New York State. Revenue for these programs exceeded 50 million.
From 2011 until 2015 Tony was a Regional Vice President responsible for retail insurance offices in the Midwest, New York, and Florida. Prior to 2011, he served as Executive Vice President/Profit Center Leader of Brown & Brown, Daytona Beach. Tony started his career with Brown and Brown in 2005 as the Profit Center leader of Public Risk Insurance Agency, a wholly owned subsidiary of Brown and Brown, Inc.
He is active in a number of professional and community organizations that include: Board of Directors of the Florida Workers Compensation Insurance Guaranty Association (2011 to present), Board of Directors of Associated Industries of Florida (2010 to present), Board of Directors of the Halifax Health Foundation (2010 to present), Board of Directors of the Council On Aging (2009 to present) and the Board of Directors of the Stewart-Marchman Act Foundation (2009 to present.
Tony Grippa is a graduate of Tulane University with a BA Degree in Political Economy
